Is anyone else reading Brisingr?
Is this the next Harry Potter? In that I mean are Christians going to start making Comic Books --that they will put inside Bibles, I own a bible with a Harry Potter comic-- that will show how "evil" it is?
Have any of you ever read the Harry Polarity comic?
What was your favorite part? Mine is a tie between when the Wizard school, PigPimples, turned out to be full of demons that none of the students could see because they were wearing magic sunglasses, and when Ari, the young boy wizard, defeated the big bad demon by praying to God...
Hmm... yeah...
So back to Brisingr
It's a great book, and part 3 of a wonderful series... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inheritance_Cycle
Death:
Yes, as the others have said it's Fire
I love books that last me a long time, unfortunately I am reading it to fast
in one day I finished over 230 pages, and there are only 748 pages in Brisingr... so I had to stop reading for fear of ending the book before I find another to take it's place (I have already exhausted my personal Library)
GenericJack:
see above^ lol
It's turning out to be a VERY good book

I’ve already read it. I’m a fan of the Inheritance Cycle.
[edit:] Death – It means fire.
GenericJack – I enjoyed the book.
Ha, sorry, not yet. I barely finished the first — in fact, I read it about a year ago, and still have around twenty pages left. Then comes the second and third.
Sorry, never read Harry Polarity. However, I do think that, if properly publicized, the inheritance series could become close to what Harry Potter has.
Side note, isn’t “Brisingr” a term from the first book? I think it means either fire or levitation, but I can’t recall.
Edit — Ode to the Damned — Thanks.
I read it last week. It was awesome beyond belief, I am so excited for another book! Hopefully this series will fly under Christian Radar.
Never heard of that comic.
Death – Yes, it is Fire in the ancient language.
*shaking head, very ashamed*
Christians can be crazy. I mean VERY crazy. I’ve got a comic about little Billy and Susie, and their adventure finding out that if they don’t follow the Big Ten to a T, their souls are the Devil’s bitches.
Brisingir–haven’t read, but totally want to. Is it good?
If I forget something to start a fireplace fire you can give me some HP books to get the flames going (or similar quality books).
