Neither. There is no standard issue or official sunglasses. Maybe once upon a time, but now we just have regulations on type of sunglasses. Any that meet the letter of the regulation are permitted, and you have to buy your own generally.
Ray-Ban is what USAAF and USAF pilots originally wore.
I love good old die hard “made in the USA” stuff. Stuff we in Europe pay premium price for because no one has ever made anything better. Got my trusty US made HP-48 SX calculator that never bugged in 20 years and got my pairs of Randolph Eng. glasses too…zippo lighters, Chase Durer watch… So yeah, totally confirm what you say. Question for you Chartz: It is a wrap for sure but I could not help but notice the open gap between your temple and the back corner of your eyes. So it does not appear to be a true cup like enclosure to keep all the elements out of your eyes. “Costa Del Mar had this feature with their excellent OLD Style Hammerheads before they revised them to the current model, which is not the same at all. Can you bend the Revision frame to conform to your face in order to close this gap? Just curious. Thanks.
